POLO CLUB ASCONA starts from September 02nd to 04th, 2022
It's that time again, the team of the POLO CLUB ASCONA is already preparing for the coming ASCONA POLO CUP '22 ago. Every year, the organizer is pleased to be able to invite you to this exclusive event. The glamor and style Asconas is known worldwide.
The event, which is now being held for the twelfth time in Ascona takes place, from September 2nd to 4th, 2022, invites you again this year with a breathtaking program, the chosen theme this year is "circus". After a two-year break, everyone is already looking forward to the date with great anticipation. Together with the Teatro Dimitri we will have various performances that artistically accompany the fast-paced polo games.
Six teams with more than 80 horses will compete in the arena of the former airfield of Ascona compete, which includes a dense three-day program that combines sporting and glamorous moments. With its own polo club, the picturesque village, located directly on the lake, has now gained another highlight. A few key points of the event have already been determined. The participants can look forward to a mounted parade through the old town of Ascona and Lungo Lago, accompanied by Porsche Ticino & Co. But that's not all, because the participants will also be enchanted in the evening and after the cup.

Founded in December 2009 by Margit Sauer, Marco Styger and Uwe Zimmermann was invited to the first tournament in July 2010. The POLO CLUB ASCONA is the only polo club in southern Switzerland and in Ticino. The former fishing village and later health resort is located on the north shore of Lake Maggiore. Neighboring communities are Locarno, Losone, Ronco sopra Ascona, Brissago and Centovalli. Ascona is the lowest-lying village in Switzerland, as the village center is right on the lake.
The event is of course supported by the municipality Ascona and the tourism organization”Ascona-Locarno”. As every year, a raffle and a charity auction will be organized during the event, the proceeds of which will benefit a local children's foundation.
